CHISLETT'S TAKE FAMILY MATCH AGAIN

Two years after winning the traditional end-of-season family tournament with his father Dave, Chichester's Christian Chislett, 14, returned to the winner's enclosure, this time with brother Alex.

The Chislett's only dropped one frame all day and fully lived up to their number one seeding. The final saw them take on number two seeds Callum and Roger Mo of  Portsmouth and despite Callum making the highest junior break of the day with a 37, the Chislett's ran out 2-0 winners. Consolation for the Mo's came in the fact that Roger made the highest adult break, 32, giving the Mo's a clean sweep in the break making department.

Semi-finalists were Pritesh and Chan Patel of East Grinstead who were beaten 2-0 by the Chislett's and Neil and Trevor Francis of Portslade, who lost to the Mo's by the same scoreline.

In the Handicap event, Worthing's Tom Boiling, 11, playing in his first tournament with father Peter did extremely well to reach the final and rounded off the day with victory against Arron and John Cotton from Chichester.

Handicap semi-finalists were James and Ray Cooper of Worthing and Southwick's James and Sue Cooper - a performance which earned Sue the adult best performance award. The junior best performance award went to Joe Chambers - another Worthing player in his first tournament - for his performance with brother Ben - a former coaching school member.
